Team Revolution Apology

A quick note to Kurt Jambretz, of Action Images, Inc. to apologize for "lifting" the images from our earlier post about Gateway Cup. We've modified that post to include all images as links to go along with our narrative for the weekend.

We, as women cyclists who often get little "press", very much appreciate Action Images presence and coverage of our races. Kurt, please continue to support us and we intend to do the same for you.

On that note, Ladies, check out those race pics! Action Images does a great job of pre-race portraits.

Thanks and go ride your bike!

Rained Out

So, Sunday was a bust. Oh well, apparently most people get up at 6:30 on Sunday because that's what time it started raining.

Carrie and I headed out to the start anyway, to make sure there were no other cyclists more die-hard than us. We didn't see any, so we lamely turned around and proceded home where we made a pool of sweat under our rollers in front of the TV (watching "White Chicks": 1.5 stars in my book).

Anyway, I'm just writing to see if anyone's interested in a ride tomorrow. Any takers?
Email me (Chris) asap!

Also, our website is ALMOST ready. Well, at least a bit of it. But you'll be able to see the skeleton of what we hope it to be. I'm way excited about the new design and future content. You'll soon be able to check it out at stlrevolution.com

Rev on.

WE ARE RIDING

Here's hoping the rain will hold off until most people are waking up!

Wednesday Ride 15 Minutes earlier

Hey Ladies!!! Due to the days shortening and a little less light, we are going to start about 15 minutes earlier this Wednesday. So see you at 5:45 at St Louis Bread Co. in Webster. If you cannot make it until 6, give me a call and we'll make it happen, so you can ride too.
See ya

Gateway Cup Weekend: Updated

Okay--We are all alive, well, and have all of our limbs, and skin.
Check out the pics!!!
+ Liz visualizing
+ Okay ladies here we go!!! Hang on!
+ Laying down the law in turn 4 at Washington.
+ Chris and Jen Goldstein stay atop of "Big Red's" tactics at the Giro.
+ Mindi on the Offensive!!
+ She makes it to the break.
+ Got to get to the front to slow it down. Come on, Kick it in!!!!

My favorite pic of the weekend is, hands-down, this picture from Action Images, Inc. of the crash on the Hill. Amazine timing! Really, I heard it happening as I was around the turn, and hoped everyone was okay.

Our Team Revolution did exceptionally well this past weekend.
+ Mindi Martin turned OLD (30) and received a big bag of rocks for her WIN on the Hill.
+I (Carrie Cash) gracefully (well luckily) floated in on two 4th place finishes and a 7th; managing 4th overall for the weekend.
+ Chris Roettger inspired new women to cycling with her consistent finishes of 2nd, 3rd, 2nd and a big Numero UNO on the Loop.
+ Liz Busse also joined the effort on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Kuddos to great racing, girl!!!

Each day was packed full of excitement for both the P, 1,2,3 field and the Cat 4 field. The pictures tell more than words.
All in all we had a great time and are looking for 2007 to grow more interest for women who like to be competitive and ride a bike.

Rev on!
